Licensing

When you buy a Gilded Laurel planner you are buying a licence to use it for your own occasion. You are not buying the design itself. Here is what that means in practice, in plain terms.

What you may do

  • Print it as many times as you like, for your own wedding or event
  • Print extra copies for your partner, your mother, your maid of honour, your planner — anyone helping you
  • Take the file to a print shop and have it printed and bound
  • Write on it, cut it up, stick things in it, and generally treat it as yours
  • Photograph your filled-in pages and share them — we would love to see them

What you may not do

  • Resell the file, or any part of it
  • Share the file or your download link publicly, or pass it to someone planning their own wedding — send them here instead
  • Print copies to sell, or to give away as part of a paid service
  • Use the designs, layouts, crest or artwork in anything of your own
  • Claim the design as your own work

If you are a planner or a business

The standard licence covers one occasion, bought by the people whose occasion it is. If you are a wedding planner, venue or stationer and would like to use these with clients, that is a different arrangement and we are happy to discuss it. Email us.

Copyright

All designs, layouts, illustrations and text remain the property of Gilded Laurel. Buying a product does not transfer ownership of the design.

Why we bother saying this

Not because we expect the worst. Digital products are easy to pass around, and most people who do it have simply never thought about it. A small shop lives or dies on whether people buy rather than forward, so if a friend asks for your file — send them the link instead. It genuinely matters at this size.
